Peaceful Escape and a Hint of Wildlife
Nual Beach is located on the southernmost tip of Koh Larn. This small, 250-meter-long beach is known for its quiet, pleasant atmosphere, offering a feeling of a private cove thanks to the surrounding trees and rock formations. It stands out with its signature soft, cream-colored sand and generally clear waters.
This beach is commonly known among visitors, especially foreigners, as “Monkey Beach Koh Larn.”

Why is it called Monkey Beach?
The name comes from the fact that monkeys occasionally descend from the surrounding hillside to look for food near the far left end of the beach (when facing the sea). This unique feature gives the beach its memorable nickname.

- The View It’s one of the best spots on the island to enjoy a wide view of Pattaya City and the distant skyline.
- Photo Opportunities The beach’s cream-colored sand and mix of sand and rocks create beautiful photo spots.

Important Safety Warnings
Precautions with the Monkeys
- DO NOT Feed Them Feeding the monkeys encourages them to approach and can lead them to attempt to snatch food or belongings from tourists.
- Secure Your Belongings Keep food and valuables safely tucked away in tightly closed bags, as monkeys are particularly attracted to plastic bags.
- Maintain Distance Observe and take photos from a safe distance, and avoid direct eye contact or aggressive gestures, as this can be seen as a challenge.
Precautions at the Monkey Cave / Photo Spot
- Tourists often climb the area near the Monkey Cave for unique photos.
- BE CAREFUL OF LOOSE GRAVEL! The path up is quite steep, and the surface is mainly composed of small, loose rocks (gravel) which makes it very slippery. Please wear appropriate footwear and exercise extreme caution if you choose to climb.
